Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Yuga Labs’ Ethereum-based non-fungible token collection, topped the NFT industry’s sales ranking on Friday despite a 19% dip.
BAYC had a sales total of US$1.45 million in the 24 hours to 2 p.m. ET, CryptoSlam data shows.
NodeMonkes, a Bitcoin-based collection, followed close with the day’s second highest sales total with US$1.3 million.
Solana’s Froganas collection witnessed the most significant increase of the day, with sales soaring by 57.70% to US$1.19 million and transactions to join the top 10 for the first time this week.
Mythos’ DMarket also saw an uptick, with a 10.44% rise in sales amounting to US$1 million. Its 39,317 transactions, up 7.92%, led the top 10 on Friday.
On the other end of the spectrum, Ethereum’s Pudgy Penguins experienced a sharp decline, with sales plummeting by 65.19% to US$877,237 and transactions decreasing by 66.67%.
CryptoPunks, another heavyweight in the Ethereum ecosystem, saw a dramatic 95.75% drop in sales to US$720,652.58, although the number of transactions remained unchanged.
CryptoPunks dropped to the eighth spot after spending a day on the top of the leaderboard, thanks to one of its NFTs, CryptoPunk #7804, selling for US$16.38 million on Wednesday.
In the broader context, Ronin’s Axie Infinity continues to hold the top spot in all-time sales with a staggering US$4.26 billion, followed by BAYC with US$3.10 billion, and CryptoPunks at US$2.78 billion.
