More than 800 limited edition collectibles from one of the most storied movie franchises in history are now up for auction in the Starcoll NFT marketplace beginning Tuesday (May 4), Starcoll announced on its website.
“Over 800+ limited edition Star Wars collectible will be released as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the Quantum-resistant QAN blockchain, including original items from the shooting scene,” Starcoll announced. Registration started on Tuesday to coincide with the “May 4 (Be With You)” celebration.
Among the highly-priced collections included in the auction is the Darth Vader helmet signature edition by Ralph McQuarrie (eFX), with a starting bid at $19,999.00; master replicas studio scale Millennium Falcon signature Edition by Harrison Ford starting at $9,999.00; replica of Master Orgus Din’s Lightsaber from SWTOR (eFX) at $4,000.00; Han Solo DL44 Heavy Blaster Gun replica by icons, at $6,500; legendary scale Obi-Won Kenobi statue by Sideshow at $4,650; and a life-size Boba Fett statue by Don Post with an opening bid of $13,995.00.
Johann Polecsak, chief technology officer of QANplatform, added, “NFT security is a neglected topic today. Nobody speaks about cybersecurity issues and pain points behind the NFT ecosystem. Source files of NFTs sold for thousands of dollars can be easily changed to memes by hackers. StarColl NFTs will be secured by the Quantum-resistant QAN blockchain, where metadata and ownership information is stored.”
