Move over Facebook, a new kid is on the block.

Voice, a new blockchain-based social media platform, will launch promising users more control over their posts and photos.

“The truth is, current social media platforms are designed to use their users,” said Brendan Blumer, CEO of Block.one.  “By design, they run by auctioning our information to advertisers, pocketing the profit, and flooding our feeds with hidden agendas dictated by the highest bidder. Voice changes that.”

All interactions on Voice will be public — a big selling point as Facebook’s private algorithms built around harvesting user data are increasingly scrutinized.

Voice will be built on Block.one’s EOSIO blockchain software, a free, open-source protocol launched in 2018. It is the first of what we assume to be many as Block.one uses the capital raised in one of the most successful ICOs in 2018, a jaw-dropping $4B USD in funding.
