Fast facts

  • Ryoshi, who last tweeted on May 29, 2021, deleted all tweets and Medium blog posts, leaving behind a short message.
  • The message read, “I am not important, and one day I will be gone without notice. Take the SHIBA and journey upwards frens.”
  • Ryoshi seems to be following the playbook of Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin, who disappeared in 2010.
  • The disappearance of Ryoshi did not seem to affect the Dogecoin Killer’s price, though. Shiba Inu is up 3% in the last 24 hours but still 85.9% lower from its all-time high in October 2021, according to data from CoinGecko.
