Shahnawaz Backer

Shahnawaz Backer is a senior solution architect at F5, a company that specializes in multi-cloud management, security and fraud prevention. In his previous role at F5, Shahnawaz was a principal security advisor and was responsible for anti-fraud and security businesses in the Asia-Pacific region, including China and Japan. Shahnawaz blogs frequently at F5 Labs and has co-authored a Redbook on access management deployment patterns. Prior to joining F5, Shahnawaz was a technical specialist with IBM Security, where he specialized in architecting security and moving customers from a reactive to proactive security posture. Shahnawaz holds a bachelor’s degree in information and communication technology from Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology and a master of science in cyber security from the University of West London.
