Laura Ballman is the founder and principal of Capital Art Strategies, which provides advisory services to businesses and collectors in the art world. Previously she ran Deloitte’s Art and Finance initiative in the United States. Laura started her career in government, serving Democratic and Republican administrations in international-facing roles, including as a CIA Operations Officer and, later, as the head of intelligence for the FBI’s art crime team. Laura has a master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University and a master’s degree in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
