Blockchain unicorn Animoca Brands said it has signed a licensing deal to include the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg racetrack in its REVV Motorsport ecosystem of play-to-earn racing games.

  • Animoca Brands will mint and sell non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that represent partial ownership of the virtual Hockenheimring racetrack, according to a company statement. 
  • NFT holders can receive shares of profits earned from entry fees, sponsorships, and events from the virtual racetrack. 
  • The REVV Motorsport ecosystem, which is powered by the REVV token, consists of popular gaming titles including REVV Racing, Formula E: High Voltage, and Torque Drift 2, among others. 
  • Animoca is expected to develop a series of blockchain-based racing games after acquiring French racing game studio Eden Games in April.
