J. Christopher Giancarlo, also known as “Crypto Dad,” is an attorney and former business executive who served as the 13th chairman (Republican) of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, from 2014 to 2019. He received his law degree from Vanderbilt University, has been a member of the New York state bar since 1985, and recently joined CoinFund as a policy adviser. He also serves as a director on the board of Nomura.
