BNB Chain’s roadmap for the year will prioritize faster transactions and enhanced support for decentralized applications (dApps), the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by volume said.

- In its 2022 technical roadmap released Tuesday, BNB Chain said it is working to offer end users more capacity with less congestion while enabling faster transactions.
- Binance also plans to increase the number of mainnet validators from 21 to 41, in an attempt to offer incentives for validators to innovate, the company said.
- A number of dApps, including META Apes and Metaverse World, will go live on BNB Application Sidechain, as Binance Chain looks to branch out to tap the metaverse and GameFi trends.
- In February, Binance rebranded its two blockchains as one BNB Chain, in a push toward the metaverse and decentralized finance, an ecosystem the company calls “MetaFi.”
