Global cryptocurrency exchange FTX’s European arm announced a partnership with Tomorrowland on Thursday with goals to bring blockchain and Web 3.0 applications to the popular electronic music festival.
- The partners will explore Web 3.0 applications such as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for art, music, ticketing, as well as crypto payments and metaverse events.
- The upcoming Tomorrowland Winter festival beginning March 19 will include an NFT hunting activity for attendees called The Quest by FTX.
- Tomorrowland is one of the biggest music festivals in the world, with more than 400,000 attendees to its annual summer festival.
- Music industry stakeholders are ramping up collaborations in the cryptocurrency space, including Warner Music Group’s recent entry into The Sandbox metaverse.
