South Korea’s Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon met with U.S. investigative agencies in New York on Tuesday amid the countries’ separate investigations into Terra and its cofounder Do Kwon.

- The minister met with Andrea M. Griswold, co-chief of the Securities and Commodities Task Force, and Scott Hartman, chief of the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force, at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, according to South Korea’s Ministry of Justice.
- The officials discussed ways to share investigative data on crypto crime cases between the Seoul Southern District Prosecutor’s Office and the Southern District of New York office, a media release added.
- During his U.S. visit, Han also met with officials from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) where they agreed to ramp up cooperation to fight against transnational crimes such as cybercrime utilizing cryptocurrencies or ransomware.
- The Seoul Southern District Prosecutor’s Office is currently investigating Terraform Labs and CEO Kwon Do-hyung for possible charges of fraud, while the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is examining the company for possible violations of federal securities laws.
