Jack Mallers announced at Bitcoin 2022 Strike’s integration with Shopify to enable merchants to accept Bitcoin payments through the Lightning Network.

  • Mallers also revealed the Bitcoin payments platform bagged partnerships with NCR, one of the world’s largest point-of-sale (PoS) suppliers, and payments firm Blackhawk.
  • The use of credit cards and processing fees dominated e-commerce for decades, but the new partnerships allow Bitcoin to take a bite out of the payments pie.
  • Mallers said at Miami’s annual Bitcoin festival that he is pushing for pro-crypto legislation in Washington D.C. with Senator Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming.
