Chainlink, a data oracle, has joined the Hedera Governing Council, which oversees the distributed governance of the Hedera network, an enterprise-grade public network for the decentralized economy.
- Chainlink and Hedera will implement a series of initiatives aimed at helping traditional, centralized financial services and other organizations harness the distributed computational trust, visibility and control offered by decentralized applications.
- Chainlink, which serves as secure blockchain middleware for powering a range of enterprise users, will be the preferred oracle partner for the Hedera network, and will collaborate to provide Chainlink integration with the Hedera Token Service. A data oracle is a platform that combines and integrates real-world data and application programming interfaces that control smart contracts.
- Hedera is governed by a council whose membership includes Boeing, Dentons, Deutsche Telekom, DLA Piper, EDF, Eftpos, Google, IBM, LG Electronics, Nomura, Tata Communications and University College London.
