SpaceChain, a Singapore-based startup that focuses on the integration of blockchain with space technology, will be launching two missions to space next month to deploy decentralized satellite infrastructure and multi-signature services for its corporate customers.

- According to a company announcement, the first mission, scheduled for June 3, will see SpaceChain launch a space node aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket that will enable digital asset management firm Nexus Inc to develop its enterprise blockchain capabilities and perform highly secure, multi-signature Ethereum transactions. The mission will be SpaceChain’s fourth blockchain payload launch into space and the first integration of Ethereum technology into its hardware aboard the International Space Station.
- The second launch, scheduled for June 24, will put space nodes created for digital currency exchange Biteeu, community project Divine and Nexus Inc into orbit on a YAM-2 satellite carried by a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket under a rideshare program. Divine, a community project under the I AM PART OF global charity foundation, will use SpaceChain’s technology to broadcast the teachings of the Quran from space to several platforms built on earth for the Divine project.
- Separately, SpaceChain and Kazakhstan-based Eurasian Space Ventures have announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on joint projects in space and blockchain technologies.
