Football is the most popular sport among crypto investors and 48% of fans among these investors are interested in trading fan tokens for sports teams during the FIFA World Cup, according to a new survey by Seychelles-based crypto exchange KuCoin.

- About 70% of crypto investors are watching the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the KuCoin report said, with four out of every 10 crypto investors in France, Spain, Vietnam, Germany and Brazil identifying as football fans.
- “Teamwork” and “passion” are the top values among crypto and football enthusiasts.
- 35% of football fans among crypto investors have traded non fungible tokens (NFTs) in the past six months while 42% are interested in investing in sports NFT, the report said.
- KuCoin’s report is based on surveys of 20,180 crypto investors between January and September this year, and 8,022 users in KuCoin communities in November.
