Australia’s National Rugby League (NRL) has announced Brisbane-based crypto exchange Swyftx will be the league’s first official crypto sponsor until 2025, with a one-year extension option.

- For an undisclosed amount, Swyftx will support all NRL and NRLW games and finals, as well as the inter-state showdown State of Origin and All-Stars Series.
- The NRL is one of the nation’s most popular sporting leagues with around 100 million annual views, as 3.5 million fans tuned in to last year’s season finals.
- Crypto advertising in sports exploded in the past 12 months, taking center stage at this year’s Super Bowl while the Australian Football League (AFL) scored a AU$27 million (US$19.4) sponsorship from Crypto.com.
- Swyftx is an Australian exchange serving more than 400,000 customers, according to the exchange.
